Hello Kitty Cake

Hello Kitty for Sonya!

This cake was one of my first "birthday" cakes. I have actually been making cakes for a while, but this was my first time to make a cake for a moderately sized birthday party. It was also my first time using the edible paper, so I didn't understand completely how the paper reacts to the frosting in terms of shrinking. A little amateur composition, but it did the job, and no one complained.

   

This cake was yellow cake, with lemon filling. I spiked the actual cake with a little lemon extract, to keep the lemon flavor consistent throughout.
